Underwater Photography

Whether you're using a Nikonos V,
a housed digital camera, video, or a point and shoot disposable,
underwater photographers will love the diving in Yap. And
with so many photo subjects on every dive, there's something
for everyone. From macro to mantas, squid, sharks and nudibranchs
to mandarinfish, visiting photographers can shoot a wide
variety of critters, animals and scenery.
None of our dives
are rushed, because we cater to smaller group sizes and
in Yap, nobody should be in a hurry. This is your vacation,
after all!
Many of our guests' dives last 90
minutes or more. We give our customers the chance to be
underwater longer, giving you more time to do what you came
here for. To dive and explore the underwater world that
makes Yap such a special place. Our guides are expert at
finding the littlest of sea creatures; from porcelain crabs
to anemone shrimp, gobies, mandarinfish, crabs and nearly
everything in between. Photo subjects abound on the reefs
in Yap.

We're always on the lookout for unusual
finds too, like frogfish, the wily Pegasus sea moths, and
the spiny devilfish.
If you like to go
slow and take time to look for the reef's inhabitants, you'll
love our style of diving. No rush, long bottom times, and
ample photo opportunites.
Don't have a camera?
That's okay too. We have cameras for rent, and they're so
easy to use you'll come back at the end of the day with
images you'll be proud of. And for those divers that don't
want to take pictures, that's fine too. Even non-photographers
will enjoy our relaxed and safe guided dives.
